Original Dublin car, a 1958 model which arrived in to Ireland in CKD form (completely knocked down), and asse ...
mbled by Booth Poole at Islandbridge in Dublin.
When purchased the car was in original condition apart from having been fitted with a 1600cc engine. The gearbox was damaged and both it and the driveshaft had to be replaced. It was decided then to paint the car and this was carried out by L.A.B. in Sallins Co. Kildare. The wheels were also sandblasted and painted and new tyres fitted. The old interior trim was removed and replaced with red leather trim and a new hood is also being sourced in red. New carpets were fitted, door panels replaced and the boot area trimmed out (which is not standard on an MGA). New seatbelts and stereo were fitted. The engine was removed, stripped down and all necessary parts were replaced. The chassis was cleaned, repaired and painted as required. All suspension areas were removed and replaced or refurbished as was necessary with all new bushes fitted.
