The 262 BYD SEAL Excellence AWD represents the very top of the SEAL range, delivering serious performance, premium luxury, advanced electric technology, and stunning coupe-inspired styling in one of the most impressive electric saloons currently available on the Irish market. Designed to compete directly with the Tesla Model 3 Performance, BMW i4 M50, Hyundai Ioniq 6 AWD, and Polestar 2 Dual Motor, the SEAL Excellence combines breathtaking acceleration with premium comfort and exceptional everyday usability.

With its sleek low-slung profile, sculpted bodywork, flush door handles, full-width LED lighting, and aggressive sporty stance, the SEAL Excellence has genuine premium road presence. BYD’s “Ocean Aesthetics” design language gives the car a futuristic and sophisticated appearance that stands out immediately on Irish roads while still maintaining the practicality of a modern electric saloon.

The Excellence AWD model adds dual-motor all-wheel drive performance, producing approximately 530hp and delivering explosive acceleration of 0–100km/h in around 3.8 seconds. Despite the impressive performance figures, the SEAL remains refined, comfortable, and exceptionally quiet for everyday driving, making it equally suited to motorway cruising, commuting, and spirited driving on Irish roads. The intelligent AWD system also provides added confidence and grip during wet Irish weather conditions.

Powered by BYD’s advanced Blade Battery technology, the SEAL Excellence offers impressive real-world range alongside strong charging performance and excellent efficiency. With up to approximately 520km WLTP range depending on conditions and specification, the SEAL delivers strong long-distance usability for Irish drivers moving to fully electric motoring. BYD’s Blade Battery has become widely recognised for its industry-leading safety, durability, and thermal stability compared to many conventional battery designs.

Inside, the SEAL Excellence AWD delivers a genuinely premium cabin experience, featuring a large rotating touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver display, panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated seats, premium quilted interior finishes, wireless charging, ambient lighting, premium audio system, head-up display, and a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems. The spacious EV platform and flat-floor layout provide excellent comfort and practicality for everyday family life while still maintaining a sporty and luxurious atmosphere.

One of the biggest advantages for Irish buyers is BYD’s excellent warranty coverage, offering strong peace of mind for long-term EV ownership. The SEAL comes with a comprehensive 6-year / 150,000km vehicle warranty, alongside an 8-year / 200,000km warranty for the Blade Battery and electric drive system, helping reassure buyers making the move to fully electric driving.

Owners and reviewers consistently praise the SEAL Excellence for offering premium comfort, exceptional equipment levels, strong performance, and outstanding value for money compared to more expensive German EV rivals. Many highlight the impressive interior quality, smooth ride comfort, and generous standard specification, especially given the performance available.

For Irish buyers looking for a stylish 262 electric performance saloon with dual-motor AWD power, premium comfort, advanced EV technology, strong warranty coverage, and exceptional value for money, the BYD SEAL Excellence AWD stands out as one of the most exciting and desirable EVs currently available in Ireland.
