The 262 BYD SEAL 6 Touring Comfort combines sleek estate styling, exceptional hybrid efficiency, premium comfort, and outstanding practicality in one of the smartest new family cars arriving on the Irish market. Designed for drivers who need the versatility of an estate without sacrificing style or running costs, the SEAL 6 Touring Comfort delivers the smooth driving experience of an EV alongside the long-distance convenience of BYD’s advanced Super DM plug-in hybrid technology.

With its elegant elongated profile, sharp LED lighting, sculpted bodywork, and aerodynamic “Ocean Aesthetics” design language, the SEAL 6 Touring stands out immediately from traditional estates currently on Irish roads. The sporty wagon-style silhouette gives the car a premium and modern appearance while also maximising practicality for growing families, active lifestyles, and long-distance driving.

The Comfort specification delivers an impressive level of standard equipment, featuring BYD’s signature rotating touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, premium upholstery, heated seats, wireless charging, adaptive cruise control, climate control, advanced driver assistance systems, and a spacious modern cabin designed around comfort and usability.

Powered by BYD’s advanced Super DM plug-in hybrid system, the SEAL 6 Touring Comfort combines a highly efficient petrol engine with electric motor assistance and BYD’s highly regarded Blade Battery technology to deliver exceptional efficiency and strong electric-only driving capability. Many Irish drivers will be able to complete daily commuting and local driving in EV mode alone while still benefiting from petrol backup for longer motorway journeys around Ireland.

One of the biggest strengths of the Touring model is its practicality. The extended estate body style provides significantly increased boot space and load capacity compared to the saloon version, making it ideal for family life, sports equipment, luggage, pets, shopping, and weekend trips away. The spacious rear seating and flat-floor interior layout also ensure excellent passenger comfort on longer journeys.

The SEAL 6 Touring Comfort delivers a quiet, smooth, and refined driving experience, with seamless transitions between electric and petrol power helping the car feel far more premium than many conventional diesel estates currently available. The comfortable suspension setup is especially well suited to Irish road conditions and long motorway cruising.

BYD’s Blade Battery technology adds additional peace of mind thanks to its strong reputation for safety, durability, and thermal stability, while BYD’s excellent warranty coverage helps reassure buyers making the move into plug-in hybrid ownership.

Owners and reviewers consistently praise BYD vehicles for their generous standard equipment, quiet cabin comfort, strong build quality, and outstanding value for money compared to more established European brands. Many drivers particularly appreciate the ability to dramatically reduce fuel costs while still maintaining excellent long-distance usability.

For Irish buyers looking for a stylish 262 plug-in hybrid estate with premium comfort, advanced hybrid technology, exceptional practicality, and ultra-low running costs, the BYD SEAL 6 Touring Comfort stands out as one of the smartest and most desirable new family cars currently arriving in Ireland.
