JLR 2.0 Ingenium diesel timing chain issues WARNING AJ200D engine.
Worn timing chains are starting to become a real issue with this engine. This extreme example shows the camshaft timing gear cracked and ready to let go . The pictures show the cracked gear and loose bolts. This customer was lucky not to have a complete engine failure.
If you hear any unusual noises from your engine or it sounds like it rattling, get it into a workshop ASAP!
