Featuring the legendary 3.0 power plant, the largest production four-cylinder engine of its time, the 944 S2 offers smooth, naturally aspirated torque all through the rev band without the lag of a turbo. Thanks to its rear-mounted transaxle gearbox, it retains an almost perfect 50:50 weight distribution for unparalleled handling.

The S2 Cabriolet was a highly specialized, complex build. Coupe bodies were pulled straight from the standard factory line in Neckarsulm and transported to the American Sunroof Corporation (ASC) in Weinsberg, Germany, where the tops were removed and structural steel reinforcements were meticulously welded into the frame to guarantee superior torsional rigidity.

Engine produces 208 hp (211 PS) @ 5,800 RPM and 207 lb-ft (280 Nm) @ 4,100 RPM giving 0 to 60mph in 6.9 seconds and top speed of 149 mph
